The Port of St. Maarten offers cruise lines home porting possibilities. The facilities are there for the industry to utilize.

For large cruise vessels, the 2100 foot cruise pier would be more than enough berthing space for a vessel. For the small niche cruise market, the tender jetty offers cruise lines an option to moor their vessel alongside designed for this purpose.
The tender jetty is four meters (14 ft) wide by 40 meters (120 ft) long featuring a nine meter (25.2 ft) bridge section and four finger piers and a 24 meter (67.2 ft) covered section. A depth of six meters has been dredged to allow vessels with a draft of five meters to safely approach the berthing facility. The finger piers can accommodate up to six vessels simultaneously.

European EasyCruise Line selected the Port of St. Maarten as of December 1, 2006 to be its homeport resulting in 40 port calls twice a week for the 2006/2007 cruise season. EasyCruise has a new itinerary for the 2006/2007 winter season which includes the islands of St. Barths, Anguilla, St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua and St. Maarten.

easyCruiseOne is the vessel home porting at the Port of St. Maarten. The vessel has a passenger and crew carrying capacity of 224.

St. Maarten is home port to the vessel Star Clipper.

Destination St. Maarten has all the amenities that would make home porting a success from the Northeastern Caribbean such as a multi-million dollar international airport, adequate hotel room inventory, transportation etc.

The St. Maarten Harbour Group of Companies will continue to seek home port business.
